Welcome to the World of Carry on Costumes!
With an exciting 2012 behind us we are drawing breath and updating the web site with an exciting array of pictures from recent productions.
Panto Season was manic as always, with our costumes in over fifteen venue’s large and small throughout the UK.
With Michael Rose Limited we had a second outing of Aladdin at the London 02 Arena with Paul O’Grady bringing his flamboyant character Lily Savage out of the closet to play Widow Twankey (a thrilling design challenge for Sue and the team). We had a ball creating the costumes for this fabulous Michael Rose production which also starred Jon Lee as Aladdin (see our Panto Gallery).
Once again we returned to Cambridge for Jack and The Beanstalk, in our twelfth year we feel very at home there and Sue had a ball creating nine original Dame costumes for Matt Crosby in his first outing as Dame. Also in the production were Rolan Bell, Jonathan Weldon and Sophie Isaacs and once again they created a festive treat for the whole family. (see our Panto Gallery).
2012 saw Carry On Costumes moving into producing as The Glad Rag Production Company. Our first production was a joint venture with The Regent Centre, Christchurch and with wonderful houses our Christmas Spectacular was a great success. We are all looking forward to repeating the experience in 2013. Please visit our Glad Rag Production Company Website to find out more about this exciting venture.
